ABOUT ROTARY
Rotary International is the world’s first service club organisation. It has more than 1.2 million members worldwide who volunteer their time and talent to further the Rotary Motto “Service above Self”.
Rotarians provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build peace and goodwill in the world. The benefits of being a Rotarian include serving the community, networking, developing friendships, and promoting ethics and leadership skills.
Strong fellowship among Rotarians leads to meaningful community and international service projects. When Rotarians participate in local and international service projects they can use their time and talent where they are most needed. What Rotarians get out of Rotary depends largely on what they put into it. Many membership requirements are designed to help club members more fully participate in and enjoy their Rotary experience. Attending weekly club meetings allows members to enjoy fellowship, enrich their professional and personal knowledge, and meet other business leaders in their community.
The Rotary Club of Maddington needs you now.
Maddington Rotary currently has 17 members and is actively seeking more to assist with the number of projects we have planned to undertake. This year the club has been called upon to assist more worthy causes than ever before. Raising funds to complete our projects is an overwhelming task. Are you willing to assist and put something back into the community?
You are eligible to be invited to join our club if you are an adult of good character, good business, professional or community reputation.

Principle Fundraising Activity
Our club owns a Food Caravan (affectionately known as the “Pie Van”) and a Nissan Patrol Four Wheel Drive vehicle. Every Sunday morning between 6-00am and 11-00am the rostered volunteers attend the Rotary Club of Thornlie’s “Bring-N-Buy” a second hand market held at Centro Maddington Shopping Centre car park. From the Pie Van we sell a range of hot food and cool drinks, everything except pies. This fund raising activity has provided a reliable ongoing source of money for the Club’s Community and International projects as well as developing great fellowship among Club members. Full details of the Pie Van can be found in the History link on this website.
